Las Vegas-based sports wagering business SuperBook Sports has announced the launch of its online sportsbook product in Virginia.
Players in Virginia can download the SuperBook Sports app and place bets on a wide range of sports and competitions. The app is accompanied by a SuperBook Sports website.
Betting options include major US sports contests such as the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL. Users can also bet on college sports and other leading events from around the world including soccer’s English Premier League.
“We couldn’t be happier with our continued growth,” SuperBook Sports CEO and managing partner Mark Lipparelli said. “We’re thrilled to be live in Virginia. We feel confident that we have a great product with a strong history that will become a fast favourite of sports bettors in the region.
“Sports fans in the region can find all their favourite teams and get in the action with some of the best sports traditions in the country.”
SuperBook Sports continues to expand in the US
Launching in Virginia means SuperBook Sports is now active in nine states across the US. SuperBook Sports began life in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1986. Its current retail sportsbook in the city, it says, is the largest in the world.
SuperBook Sports built on this with the launch of mobile sports betting in Colorado in October 2020. It also opened a retail facility at the Lodge Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado in June 2021.
The operator continued its expansion to New Jersey in August 2021, Arizona in December 2021, Tennessee in April 2022, Iowa in October 2022 and Ohio in January 2023. Prior to Virginia, its most recent launch came in neighbouring Maryland in April this year.
“Going live in Virginia is a perfect complement to our quickly growing business in Maryland,” EVP of race and sportsbook operations at SuperBook Sports, Jay Kornegay, said. “With our heritage and the passion that fans bring in that area, it is sure to be a great fit.
“We pride ourselves on our expansive menu. We will have great offerings for everything from the Commanders to the Ravens and the Nationals to our proud partners, the Orioles.”
SuperBook Sports becomes the ninth operator top launch online sports betting in Virginia. Also active are Bet365, Betway, BetMGM, Caesars, FanDuel, Fanatics – previously PointsBet – Hard Rock and BetRivers.
